Ronald J. Scungio, 79, of McMurray, PA passed away the morning of April 30, 2025 at Paramount Senior Living Facility in Peters Township.
Born in New Castle on November 25, 1945, Ron was the son of the late Michael and Eva DeCecco Scungio.
Ron was a graduate of Duquesne University. After he graduated Ron went to work in the Logistics Department for Trico Products in Brownsville, Texas. After retiring he resided in Brownsville, until returning to Pennsylvania in 2022.
Ron enjoyed visiting Las Vegas and was an avid Pittsburgh Sports Fan. He loved food of all ethnicities. Ron was affiliated with Corpus Christi Parish in Bridgeville. He was a kind, generous man devoted to his many lifelong friends.
Ron is survived by his brother-in-law, Donald Paiano of Neshannock Township and his nephew, Gary Paiano (Aneita) of Sun City Center, FL, his goddaughter, Michelle Bintrim (Ty) of Waynesburg, PA and numerous cousins and a godson.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Scungio and his sister, Loretta Paiano.
Family and Friends will visit on Wednesday 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A Blessing Service will follow on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home officiated by Deacon Leonard M. Thomas, Jr.
Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to corpuschristipgh.org.
