Lilo & Family I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Lilo at SunGard and FIS and Lilo always had wonderful things to say about Roni and his family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and hope that wonderful memories and your faith get you through this very difficult time. Patti Cassidy

I did not know Roni at all, but her husband, Lilo, worked at FIS 5 years ago. I am so sorry to hear about Roni -- so young and beautiful.. I pray that the family's faith will get them through this tragic, tragic loss. I'm terribly sorry. Denise Williams, FIS.

Lilo, Mars, Dani, Mari, the Dean and Burren families, I am grateful that our God allowed me to be a part of Roni's and your higher education, love, marriage and spiritual journey at SMU. My heart is so heavy, yet my spirit and soul is truly blessed to have been a part of Roni's exceptional life and legacy. I am truly grateful that our God chose Roni to be a part of my life journey and it was and is truly a blessing to be one of her SMU advisors and mentors. I am so proud of Dr. Roni Dean Burren's accomplishments, and success in Christ, marriage, ministry, community service, global advocacy and life. Lilo, Dean and Burren families, may our God give his angels charge over you and keep you in all your ways (Psalms 91:11) during this time and over the coming months. I am praying without ceasing (1 Thess 5:17) that our God will strengthen, comfort and give you peace as we celebrate the blessing that Roni was to your family, our SMU family, the African-American community and our world.
Love you so much,
Dr. LaQueta Wright "Mama Q"
