As a child, Matthew Ulysses Nuncio embraced a world where the word "No" held no sway. Born on April 10, 2007, with Lowe Syndrome, a condition occurring in only one in every 500,000 births, Matthew radiated a magnetic personality from the start. His presence lit up every room he entered, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. His infectious laughter and joyful giggles warmed our hearts. His laughter and giggles could melt your heart away. He gave his all in everything he did with tenacity and perseverance. Matthew approached life with unwavering determination, throwing himself wholeheartedly into everything he pursued. He was an inquisitive child as curiosity knew no bounds, often leaving others breathless with his endless questions. Matthew was a friend to all, harboring no prejudice in his gentle soul. He loved each of us equally and unconditionally. On June 21, 2024, Matthew departed this world, leaving behind cherished memories of his vibrant spirit. Matthew now joins his grandmother, SanJuana Nuncio, sister Skyla B. Nuncio, and uncle Jose Guadalupe Jasso. He refused to let his syndrome define him, constantly in motion despite his aversion to grass. He faced challenges fearlessly and embraced a life without limits. Again, “No” was not in his vocabulary. At Clear Brook High School, he immersed himself in sports with the CCISD Challengers Special Olympics. He friends and family would tell you that he danced his heart away in school dances and melted his audience with his contagious smile. In addition, he bowled fearlessly, played basketball as if height was no limit, ran track stealing everyone’s breathe away, while passionately swimming on the swim team. If that was not enough, he energetically jumped and danced on his beloved cheer team. On his spare time, he was an avid Astros fan, always keeping up with their games and stats. Matthew is survived by his devoted father Ricardo Nuncio and his devoted mother Maria S. Nuncio who made sure he always got a “yes”. His best friend and sister Jaelyn Aylssa Nuncio, who they adored each other equally and his brother Ritchie Nuncio and his wife Monica Nuncio. And believe it or not Matthew was a playful uncle to R.J. and Noah Nuncio and enjoyed their many adventures together. Matthew lived life to the fullest, never accepting the word "No." Though we are heartbroken by his passing at the age of 17, the memories of our time with him will forever reside in our hearts. Rest peacefully, our loving angel Matthew.
