Ronnie "Rock" Huffman, age 78, of Canal Fulton, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 26, 2025, following a period of declining health.
Rock was born on September 25, 1946, in Wadsworth, Ohio, to the late Carl and Grace (Fortner) Huffman. He graduated from Northwestern High School and married Judy Skeens on June 6, 1966, in Burbank, Ohio. They shared 58 wonderful years together.
He worked as a Foreman at Quality Castings for many years before retiring in 2019.
Rock lived life with passion and purpose. He was a proud member of Orrville VFW Post 3446, an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast, a loyal Cleveland Browns fan, and loved WWE wrestling and shooting pool. However, he found his greatest joy in spending time with his beloved family and his four legged best friend hooch.
In addition to his beloved wife, Judy, Ronnie is survived by his two sons, Trace (Sarah) Huffman and Thomas Huffman; five grandchildren, Lora (Mike) Myers, Trevor (Angel) Huffman, Rachael Huffman, Aidan Huffman, and Noah Huffman; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Vicky (Randy) Hoge and Rita (Brett) Norton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a special friend, Jim Murphy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Linda Cottrill, Danny Huffman, and Lora Mae Huffman.
Rock was proud to have served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a member of the 14th Infantry Regiment, known as the "Golden Dragons." He served honorably with the 25th Infantry Division, participating in major operations during his time to which he was most proud of. Date of service 1966-1968
His was a life well lived - full of love, laughter, hard work, and unwavering devotion to family and country. His legacy of strength, kindness, and loyalty will live on in all who knew and loved him.
