Joseph P. Chiampo

Joseph P. Chiampo, age 79, of Rittman, died Thursday, August 28, 2025, at his residence in Rittman, following a period of declining health.

Joseph was born on December 19, 1945, in Bellaire, Ohio, to the late Joseph and Anna (Homko) Chiampo, graduated from Rittman High School, and served as a Private First Class in the United States Army during Vietnam War.

He worked as an assembler for PCA for over 10 years.

Joseph was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. He enjoyed talking all things about cars, with the Chevy Corvette being his favorite. He loved going down to the Depot first thing in the morning for breakfast and was always eager to hear how his nieces and nephews were doing.

Surviving are his sister, Margaret Aloisi of Rittman; eight nieces and nephews; and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald, James, and John Chiampo; and his sister, Mary Ann Meadows.

Friends may call on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Auble-Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Sunset Dr., Rittman, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, at Auble-Gillman Funeral Home. Burial will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, where military rites will be observed.
