Sylvia was born on March 30, 1947, in Morgantown, West Virginia, to the late Matthew and Margaret (Mogyoros) Hubiak. She graduated from Rittman High School in 1965. On February 12, 1966, she married Roger W. Williams in Monroe, Michigan. He survives.
A devoted homemaker, Sylvia was a member of Rittman United Methodist Church. She was an avid Longaberger basket collector and loved her flower beds. Family was her highest priority, and she treasured every moment spent with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Roger, she is survived by her daughters, Sandy (Chad) Gasser of Rittman and Deb (Scott) Adkins of Rittman; her son, David (Stephanie) Williams of Rittman; five grandchildren, Matt McClain, Em Adkins, Michael (Kayla) Adkins, Alex Williams, and Ethan Williams; two great-grandchildren, Ana McClain and Audrey Adkins; sister, Cindy (Kim) Keller of Mesa, Arizona; and sister-in-law, Joyce (Kes) Lukas of Wyndmoor, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Shirley MacDonald.
A private graveside service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Rittman Cemetery, with Pastor Kristen Buchs officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rittman United Methodist Church (care of the food pantry), 211 N. Metzger Ave., Rittman, OH 44270, rittmanumc.org.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Southern Care Hospice for the love and kindness shown to Sylvia over the past two years.
