Rosa Mae Hedrick

Rosa Mae Hedrick, 80, entered eternal rest on July 7th, 2023, at her home in Plainfield, New Jersey. Born to Edward (J. C.) Siler and Lula Mae Brewer Siler in Matthews, North Carolina. She graduated from Chatham High School in Siler City, NC where she was a motivating cheerleader. After graduation she moved to Greensboro, NC where she met her husband Willie Elreece Hedrick. They moved to Plainfield, NJ to further his career in barbering. In 1962, Rosa and Willie were married. That union produce their only daughter Rosonda Hedrick.
For over 30 years, Rosa worked as a Medical Records Analyst originally with Muhlenberg Hospital until she transferred to JFK Hospital in Edison. She retired from JFK Hospital about 10 years ago.
She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and her scarves, she had a unique knack for matching her scarves with her outfits.
She is survived by her daughter, Rosonda Hedrick of North Brunswick, New Jersey and her sister, Brenda Siler Lea (Richard Lea) McLeansville, North Carolina and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may gather at Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, July 21st, 2023, from 6pm to 8pm as well as on Saturday July 22nd 10am to 12pm with a service starting in the funeral home at 1pm. Cremation will be private.
