Dateline: Agua dulce, Texas
Rosalinda Rivera Austin, daughter of Raul and Delia Rivera, was born on January 15, 1959 in San Diego Texas. Life began early as she journeyed out into the world about the same time teenagers theses days are getting a drivers permit. So young and eager she was married soon after that. Somethings are truly written in the stars, although in this case, it would take a second try to find the father of her three sons Curtis Henry Austin III. Her boys James Ray Austin, John Henry Austin, and Carl Rose Austin hit the jackpot when it come to unconditional motherly love. Tragedy struck there lives early leaving her widowed with three young children to raise on her own. Without even her own knowing, she showered them with not only unconditional love, but more importantly demonstrated first hand what a strong and beautiful single mother truly was suppose to be. Those of us who had the privilege to call her a friend will always remember how caring and selfless of a person she truly was. Working multiple jobs in addition to be a single mother, she had one of the best work ethics hands down any employer would be so luck to find. She lived 40 plus years in her home and small town of Agua Dulce Texas. She spent a large majority of her life taking care of people being a very accomplished Medical Assistant and caregiver to so many. In her more recent years she ventured out of Texas and into my guestroom some what close to the rocky mountains.(Denver, Colorado) After a short but memorable stay in the milehigh city, she came to realized just as Dorothy in the wizard of Oz had all along. "Theirs no place like home." Returning home was something she never lost sight of doing. She fought valiantly toward her surgical recovery, and but unfortunately her body just couldn't keep up with her timeless and unforgettable soul. On Friday January 6, 2024 she began her finale adventure towards the stars. Gone but never to be forgotten, life just doesn't feel as welcoming as before.
Also survived by Grand Children: James Jr Austin, Zachary Florrez, Serena Sauceda, Mateo Reyes, Rosalinda Austin. Siblings and spouses: Louis and Sylvia Aguilar, Silbia Gonzales, Delia and Lazaro Guzman, Dalia and Frank Hernandez, Yolanda Rivera, Lupita and Mike Kendall, Raul and Gloria Rivera.
Extend family nieces and nephews together we will keep her present in our memories and her unconditional love towards others as inspiration.
A visitation will begin Monday, January 15, 2024 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm in the Roberson Funeral Home Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 2:30 pm with a funeral service to begin immediately after in the Roberson Funeral Home Chapel with a burial to follow in the San Diego Cemetery.
