Rose Budish, 96, Carrington formerly of Hurdsfield, ND died Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at the Golden Acres Manor in Carrington.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hurdsfield at 11:00 a.m.
Rose Marie Budish was born on April 15, 1926 in Minto, ND. She was the daughter of Dominic and Bebe (Gerzewski) Langowski. She grew up and attended school in Minto. Rose married Casmer (Casey) Budish on November 15, 1946 in Minto, ND. They lived in Minneapolis then they moved to North Dakota and lived in Dawson, Heaton, and then to Hurdsfield where Casey was the depot agent for more than 20 years. Rose and Casey then purchased and operated Casey s Standard Services and Caf in Hurdsfield until 1973. Casey died on June 20, 1973. Rose worked for the Hurdsfield School District as a teacher s aide and secretary for 10 years. She was also manager of Hurdsfield Housing for 15 years. Rose moved to Carrington in 2005 and to the Golden Acres Manor in 2021.
Rose was treasurer and a council member at St. Patrick s Catholic Church in Hurdsfield, and belonged to the Bible study group there, and the church altar society. She was a charter member of Hurdsfield Legion Auxiliary. Rose helped start the Hurdsfield City Library. She loved to read, crochet, and do crossword puzzles.
Rose is survived by her son, James (Ruth) Budish of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughters, Beverly Liebelt of Fargo, Ann (Kurt) Smith of Lake Havasu, Arizona, Lois (Derrick Seibold) Ripplinger of Carrington; eight grandchildren, Jess, Aron, Casey, Krissy, Chanda, Travis, Meghan and Shannon; 5 great-grandchildren, Magnus, Brady, Layla, Gage and Cale.
