Rose Newcomer, age 68, of North Webster passed away unexpectedly at Goshen Hospital on December 8, 2023 at 12:39 PM. Born on August 6, 1955, in Indianapolis, IN, Rose was a vibrant soul who touched the lives of many with her warm heart and infectious spirit.
She graduated from East Harden High School of Kentucky in 1974, laying the foundation for a successful future. Rose was driven by a thirst for knowledge and went on to attend Sullivan Business College, expanding her horizons and embracing new opportunities.
Rose's professional journey was one filled with dedication and hard work. She worked at JC Pontoon and Bowling Janitorial Services in various roles. She married her first husband Sam Bowling and had three children.
Beyond her career and education, Rose possessed a zest for life that was truly inspiring. She had an array of hobbies and interests that brought her immense joy. Among them, sewing held a special place in her heart as she skillfully crafted beautiful creations with love and care. The tantalizing aroma of fried chicken often wafted from her kitchen, showcasing her culinary prowess and delighting all who were lucky enough to savor it. Rose had an unyielding passion for sci-fi movies, particularly Star Trek, whisking herself away to distant galaxies throughout the universe. Additionally, she found solace in retail therapy—shopping offered her not only excitement but also moments of pure bliss.
But above all else, Rose cherished her family wholeheartedly. She radiated love and brought boundless happiness into the lives of those around her. Friends and loved ones will forever remember Rose's sassy yet fun-loving demeanor that could light up any room she entered. She is survived by her children Renea (Jonathan) Skaggs of North Webster, April Bowling of Albion, Tonya (Nathan) VanDusen of Syracuse; step-children, Ryan Newcomer and Teisha Juday; grandchildren, Jonathan (Brittany), Tyler (Liz), Cody, Collen, Abby, Lucas, Logan, Jordan, Kaitlyn, Lola and Lila; also great-grandchildren, Layla, Evie, Emmy, Rhylynn. She is also survived by one brother and three sisters. She also remained good friends with her first husband Sam(Sandra) Bowling of Pierceton.
Visitation will be held on December 12, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Titus Funeral Home of North Webster, located at 8056 E 500 N, North Webster, IN, 46555. Pastor Sheldon Callahan from The Vineyard Community Church will lead the Life Celebration service which will follow immediately after visitation, starting at 12:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial will follow at North Webster Cemetery- Mock Addition.
