Rosemary K. Sutich died peacefully June 30, 2025. She was born in Nashua, New Hampshire on December 27, 1931 to Andrew and Mary Kehoe, the oldest of four children.

After growing up in Nashua and graduating from Nashua High School, she attended Mount St Mary's college in Hooksett. After graduating from college in 1953, Rosemary took a position with the Central Intelligence Agency in Washington D.C. supporting the newly established agency's recruitment efforts. After several years in Washington, Rosemary moved back up north and began teaching high school. She later taught at Woburn High School in Woburn Massachusetts for several years.

While studying for her Masters Degree at Wesleyan University in Middletown Connecticut, she met her future husband, John. They married in 1970. After her two sons were safely ensconced in elementary school, she returned to teaching at New Milford High School where she taught Latin and World History for more than twenty years. In retirement, she served as an adjunct professor of history at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury. In 2008, John and Rosemary relocated to Melrose, Massachusetts.

Rosemary is survived by her two sons John and Stefan, two daughters-in-law Lisa Herrington and Alison Sutich and 5 beloved grandchildren: Andrew, Meryl, Adeline, Leo and Spencer, as well as her sister Margaret. She was predeceased by her husband John and brothers Andrew and Daniel.

A wake will be held on Monday July 14, 9:30am-10:30am at Cornell Memorial Home on 247 White Street in Danbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the wake to be held at Saint Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Rd, in Danbury at 11am. Burial will be in Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

In lieu of flowers Rosemary would have preferred a donation to the Mary F. Weiner scholarship. Mary Weiner was Rosemary's close friend and fellow teacher. The scholarship supports students pursuing a degree in teaching. Please send contributions to Danbury High School, 43 Clapboard Ridge Road, Danbury, CT 06811 and in the memo section please write "Mary F. Weiner Scholarship Fund".
