Roslyn "Rozie" Jaffee

Roslyn May "Rozie" (Kirsner) Jaffee Age 97, of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2024. Born in Annandale, MN, and raised in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Rozie was a beacon of love and humor to all who knew her. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 72 years, Arthur; parents, Maurice and Celia Kirsner; brother, Alvin (Dorothy) Kirsner; and brother-in-law, Bob (Joan) Jaffee. Rozie is survived by her children, Mark (Ellen Spiller), Marcia Jaffee Koester, and Nancy Jaffee (Bob) Shiff; grandchildren, Dannon (Amy) Shiff, Sari (Andy) Steinman, Justin (Siri Raasch) Koester, Jennifer (Derian Blake) Koester, and Max (Madison Boyer-Hayes) Jaffee; great-granddaughters, Sophie and Noa Shiff; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly. A graduate of West High School and the University of Minnesota and a member of Alpha Epsilon Phi, Rozie found joy in working within the family businesses and her leadership on the boards of Sholom Auxiliary, Temple Israel Sisterhood, and Oak Ridge CC. Her passions included playing mahjong, golf, canasta, and bridge, where she formed lasting friendships and created countless memories. Funeral services 1 p.m. WEDNESDAY, August 21st at TEMPLE ISRAEL, 2323 Fremont Ave. So., Minneapolis. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Temple Israel Roslyn and Arthur Jaffee Family Fund and Sholom Foundation Roz & Arthur Jaffee Family Fund.
