Funeral services for Ross Lindon Allison, 75, will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 322 Church Rd., Keatchi, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Longstreet Cemetery, 304 Caddo St., Keatchi, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Friday, November 15, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at Shiloh Baptist Church. Officiating the service will be Bro. Charles Hall and Bro. Dean Register.
Ross was born on April 2, 1949, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Marion Lindon Allison and Rachel Aline Allison and passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, in Shreveport.
Ross was a resident of Logansport, Louisiana. He graduated from Longstreet High School and Louisiana Tech with a bachelor’s degree. He taught school and coached for 35 years before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, cooking (especially biscuits and pies), reloading ammo, carpentry, gardening, and he especially loved God and his family.
Ross is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Rachel Allison; sister, Wanda Berry; brothers-in-law, Jerry Dunn and Jerry Rose; niece, Becky Westerfield; and nephew, Ricky Rose. Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life, his wife, Freddie; daughters, Robbi Allison and fiancé, Brandon Foshee, and Jami Clements and husband, Coy Clements; son, John Moseley and wife, Sheli Moseley; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews; other extended family members and friends.
Honoring Ross as pallbearers will be Coy Clements, Colton Clements, Brandon Foshee, John T. Moseley, Tucker Connell, and John Smith. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Darren Dunn and Trent Rose.
The family would like to express special thanks to the Carpenter House and their staff, especially Miranda, Felicia, Ken, Jenny, Renee and Cassidy for all the care and love given to Ross. The family also want to thank Debrah Connell, Tucker Connell, Aubrey Connell, Danelie Connell, and Charlotte Dunn for all the help, love and compassion they gave to Ross.
