Mr. Chapelle, 89, of Turkey Creek, entered eternal rest on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Savoy Medical Center, Mamou, LA.
Roy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed going to his camp, fishing, cutting wood, and was an avid duck hunter. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Gale Chapelle; one son, Michael Chapelle; his parents, Ernest and Vada Chapelle; and his son-in-law, Ronald Fontenot.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include one son, Kevin Chapelle (Debra) of Turkey Creek; one daughter, Denise Fontenot of Turkey Creek; daughter-in-law, Roxanne Chapelle of Upper Pine Prairie; six grandchildren, Aleah West (Robbie), Dancie Chapelle (Michael), Devin Chapelle, Dylan Chapelle, Kaitlyn Chapelle, and Dean Chapelle; and five great grandchildren, Finley West, Hudson West, Archer Mouton, Braylan Mouton, and Miklyn Mouton.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Devin Chapelle, Dylan Chapelle, Dean Chapelle, Michael Mouton, Robbie West, and Gary Carraway.
