Graveside services for Mrs. Sharon Gale Chapelle will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 01, 2023, at Turkey Creek Cemetery, with Brothers Robbie West and Gary Carraway officiating, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mrs. Chapelle, 79, of Turkey Creek, entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, LA.
Sharon was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked at Prairie Manor Nursing Home for over twenty years. She enjoyed cooking and spoiling her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by one son, Michael Chapelle; her parents, Horace and Mary Carraway; two brothers, Donald Carraway and J.C. Carraway; and son-in-law, Ronald Fontenot.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her loving husband of sixty-four years, Roy Chapelle of Turkey Creek; one son, Kevin Chapelle, and wife Debra, of Turkey Creek; one daughter, Denise Fontenot of Turkey Creek; daughter-in-law, Roxanne Chapelle of Upper Pine Prairie; one brother, Carl Carraway, and wife Laura, of Pine Prairie; six grandchildren, Aleah West (Robbie), Dancie Chapelle (Michael), Devin Chapelle, Dylan Chapelle, Kaitlyn Chapelle, and Dean Chapelle; and five great grandchildren, Finley West, Hudson West, Archer Mouton, Braylan Mouton, and Miklyn Mouton.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Devin Chapelle, Dylan Chapelle, Dean Chapelle, Michael Mouton, Robbie West, and Gary Carraway.
