CHAPELLE, Mary Lou – of Clio, age 82, died Saturday, March 16, 2024 at MyMichigan Medical Center West Branch. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 1:00 PM at O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan. Pastor Jim Marcus officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to City Church in Clio, Michigan.
Mary was born August 16, 1941 in Flint, Michigan to the late Hershal and Lillie (Taylor) Daniels. She grew up in Clio, Michigan and graduated from Clio High School with the class of 1959. Mary went onto Cosmetology School and became a hairdresser. On December 19, 1975 she married her beloved husband Duane Chapelle in Flint, Michigan and he preceded her in death in 2005. Mary worked for Double "D" Market and continued on in the job she loved the most of being a hairdresser with over 40 years of service. She was a member of City Church and a lifelong resident of Clio. Mary enjoyed bowling, bingo, the casino, shopping and going to rummage sales. However, her greatest joy in life was her family, especially all her grandchildren.
Surviving are: Children, Timothy and wife Elaine Lang, Shawn Lang, Chris and wife Tracy Toth, Kellie and husband Sean Gilbert, John and wife Carol Toth; Grandchildren, Joshua and wife Jessica Lang, Zachary and wife Kelsey Lang, Garrett Lang, Alisha and husband Brad Coonrod, Taylor and husband Jagger Bennett, Tobias Gilbert, Jake Gilbert, Sara Naragon; 8 Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, Duane Chapelle; Siblings, Ann Harrington, Diana Doyle, Jack Daniels, and Michele "Mickey" Severn.
