Roy Edward Hanover, 90, of Lafayette, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025 at his home. He was born September 12, 1934, in Crawfordsville, IN, to the late Royal and Sylvia (Tate) Hanover.
Roy was a graduate of Klondike High School. He was a lifetime member of Carpenters Local Union #215 and enjoyed attending Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
As a successful real estate investor, he built a thriving rental business; most often upgrading properties needing much repair and turning them into homes for families to grow in.
He was a traveler who visited over 60 countries and will continue to travel as his cremated remains will be scattered in the Wabash River which flows to all waters of the world.
Surviving are his daughters Julie K. (Gary) Rodgers of Corvallis, OR, Terri A. (Mike) Moll of Lafayette, IN, and Cindy L. (John) Zufall of Port Aransas, TX, grandson Jared P. (Gabrielle) Moll and step grandson Justin M. Moll of Lafayette. Roy was preceded in death by his siblings Philip Hanover and Nida "Jo" Shafer.
A memorial will be announced at a later date.
