Roy King Obituary
Roy Fulton King
Roy Fulton King, 81, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on November 23, 2022 at Atrium Cleveland in Shelby, NC. He was born in Gaston County, NC, son of the late Samuel Fulton and Thelma Kitchens King and was preceded in death by a son, Dwaine King and a brother, Jimmy King. Roy was a longtime member of Chestnut Ridge Church where he once served as Chairman of the Deacons and as the Choir Director. He was the owner and operator of King's Quality Services for 40 years. Roy was a devoted family man who loved his wife, children, brothers and many grandchildren deeply. He enjoyed traveling, singing and dancing. Roy was an accomplished golfer and equestrian, member of the Cleveland County Golf Association and loved showing off his talent on roller skates. He enjoyed working with his hands and possessed the ability to build or fix anything he set his mind to. Roy's dedication, guidance, and love will remain in the memory of his family and friends and will bring comfort to them for a lifetime.
SURVIVORS: Wife of 60 years: Myrle Moore King, of the home
Sons: Eric King (Cindy), Kings Mountain, NC and Daryl King (Kim), Rutherforton, NC
Brothers: Bob King (Nan), Bessemer City, NC and Toney King (Geraldine), Kings Mountain, NC
Grandchildren: Brandon King, Chaz King (Jeanne), Erica Sutton (Shawn), Tyler King, Austin King, Clayton King, Christian King (Cassi), and Jordan King
Great Grandchildren: Ian King, Mattik King, Leilani King, Everett Sutton, and Emmett Sutton
Numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family
FUNERAL SERVICE: Sunday, November 27, 2022 at 2:30 PM at Chestnut Ridge Church with Pastor Greg Neely officiating
VISITATION: Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:20 PM prior to the service at Chestnut Ridge Church
INTERMENT: Chestnut Ridge Church Cemetery
