Pitchford Funeral Home - Wood RiverBorn December 7, 1940, through July 18, 2025, was 84. Roy was raised by Lewis, Clyde, Miller and Mary Lou Miller. Roy succeeded his wife of 42 years Janet Dorris miller. Roy raced at the Alton dragway in the 1960s. He rode motocross in the 70’s. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, his entire life. Roy and his family lived in Central Illinois until the 80’s. He spent many years in Florida enjoying boating on the river and visiting the beach. Roy moved back to Southern Illinois in 2010. Roy‘s major passion was his cars. A total car enthusiast, including restoring and sanding, polishing that cold steel. If he wasn’t working on a car, he was working on a house. Roy spent his last year in Grafton, kicking around with his friends and family. Roy was a member of the local Pipefitters Union Local 149 and also belong to the fat boys car club FBI. Roy Louis Miller was succeeded by his son Wendell Louis Miller his daughter Kirsten Ann Miller and his great granddaughter Riley Elizabeth Miller. His daughter Stachia Dee Wolff, her daughter son Dennis Lee Wolff. Her daughter Tabbatha Dee Heimbach and his great grandchildren Hope Autumn Heimbach, Chase Alan Heimbach. His girlfriend / partner Carol Bengston. Roy’s celebration of life is on September 6, 2025, 4-6 pm, at the Grafton American Legion, 14258 Scenic Hill Drive, Grafton, Illinois, 62037.
