Roy Stewart Obituary
He was born in Fort Worth, Texas on February 19, 1932 to John Arlise and Ottie Belle Stewart. He graduated with a Master's Degree and worked as a home builder as owner and operator of Roy Stewart Homes, Inc. for many years. Roy moved to Grapevine, Texas in 1981, where he dedicated himself to GCISD and the community for decades. He served on many educational, business, and community boards. Roy served as School Board Vice President, as a Grapevine City Councilman, and as a founding member of the Education Foundation. His honors include Rotarian of the Year, and the Education Foundation's 2003 Distinguished Friend.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ottie Belle and his son, Randy. He is survived by his wife, Joan Stewart, and his daughters, Kim Prochnow and Kerri and her husband Charles Thomson.
Memorial Services for Roy will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023 at 10:00am at the First Grapevine Methodist Church Sanctuary, Grapevine, TX. A Reception will follow services in Stewart Hall at The REC of Grapevine.1175 Municipal Way, Grapevine, TX 76051
