Memorial service for Royce Lee Stevens, 72, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Les Banks officiating. Mr. Stevens passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025, in Lawton, Oklahoma.
He was born April 10, 1952, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to John Roy and Maudie Charline (Jones) Stevens. He was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Frederick in 1963. He was united in marriage to Bobbie Burns on October 27, 1970, in Vernon, Texas. In 1986, he moved to west Texas. Royce worked as a truck driver and a diesel mechanic. He returned to Oklahoma and lived in Clinton before moving back to Frederick in 2020. He enjoyed country dancing and taught his girls how to "two-step." He loved all types of racing, especially NASCAR. He managed the Elk City dirt racetrack.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Joey Ray Stevens; a sister: Elizabeth Ann "Shan" Lamb, and a grandson: Tyler Grissom
Survivors include: three daughters: Tammy Stevens (Max Scarbrough), of Brownwood, Texas, Brandi Smith (Steven), of Brownwood, Texas, and Lindsey Morris, of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters: Elaine Jensen (Frank), of Manitou, Oklahoma, and Georgia Spoonemore (Kim), of Waurika, Oklahoma; two brothers: John Charles Stevens (Peggy), of Midland, Texas, and Timothy Dale Stevens, of Rogers, Arkansas; nine grandchildren: Jenice Stevens (Dustin Gideon), James Dalton Stevens (Ashley), Chancey Thurmon (Grant Templeton), Hunter Jackson (Christy), L.J. Grissom (Billie Ann), Justin Smith, Gage Smith, Kerri Bender (Chris), and Billie Jo Landry; 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
