Sinton– Ruby Caroline Maxwell passed away on December 14, 2024. She was 91.
Ruby was born February 20, 1933 in Tynan, Texas to Natalie Clara (Stautzenberger) and Emil Finke. She has been a resident of Sinton since 1959. Ruby was formerly employed by the San Patricio County Clerk's Office as a Deputy Clerk. She was an amazing wife to her husband Richard "Dick" Maxwell and was the absolute best mother to her children, always present for her family. She was born to be a mother. Ruby enjoyed tending to her garden. She was a member of the Sinton Presbyterian Church. Ruby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding in death are her parents: Natalie and Emil Finke; daughter: Sharon Cobb; and brothers: Monroe and Harold Finke.
Survivors include her loving husband of 74 years: Richard "Dick" Maxwell; sons: Richard "Dicky" Maxwell and Keith Maxwell (Barbara); daughter: Gayle Maxwell Burnett (Gary); son-in-law: Tim Cobb; grandchildren: Greg Cobb (Theresa), Neal Cobb (Jessica), Stephanie Cobb Trbula (Kenneth), Gabriel Maxwell, Joshua Maxwell, Kimberly Burnett Walton (J.R.), and Louie Chapa (Stephanie); 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024, 1:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The Funeral Service will be held the same afternoon, 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
