Rudolf "Rudy" Kuss, Jr., 82, passed away on August 10, 2025, in Panama City, Florida. Born on August 25, 1942, in Danbury, CT.
A graduate of Danbury High School in the Class of 1960, Rudy was known for his prowess on the football field and baseball diamond. Rudy began his professional journey as a New York City police officer. While balancing the demands of work and family life, Rudy earned his law degree from St. John's Law School in 1980. He founded the first law firm in Connecticut dedicated solely to elder law. He became a pioneer in the field and a trusted advocate for seniors across the state. His expertise earned him respect among colleagues and judges alike. He was an avid golfer for over forty years, cherishing not only the game but also the camaraderie it brought him.
He is lovingly remembered by his sister Marion; his children Robert, Cindy and Steven; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Rudy was predeceased by: his mother Marion; father Rudolf Sr.; sister Carol; son Raymond and great-grandson Ryder.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.

Rudy and I were in the same grade at Saint Joseph´s. We hoped that Rudy would join us at Fairfield prep but it wasn´t the be and Danbury high school got a fearless quarterback. .When we were seniors in high school, we formed a hockey team we weren´t very good and as I remember Rudy wasn´t a skater but he was a dauntless goalie , no mask, and the puck whizzing in all different directions. Great fun, but you know you were always gonna have a lot of fun when Rudy was with you.
