Russell "Russ" Lee Ball, Jr., 77, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

He was born on January 8, 1948, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Norma "Tillie" Shields Ball and Russell Lee Ball, Sr. He was a graduate of Madisonville High School Class of 1966. He graduated from the University of Kentucky. He competed in pole vaulting on the track team in high school and college. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired after twenty-five years from General Electric. He enjoyed golfing. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Russ was an active member of First Baptist Church in Madisonville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Wayne Ball.

His survivors include his wife Patricia "Patsy" Antle Ball; daughter, Mikki (Doug) Martin of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Teresa Ball of Madisonville; grandson, Jacob Martin of Virginia Beach; and his granddaughter, Aislinn Martin of Virginia Beach.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Bursztynski officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville, KY. Military honors will be performed by the United States Air Force and the Hopkins County Honor Guard.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Tony Space, Anthony Taylor, Gary Oldham, Dave Hendricks, Ray Cartwright, and Alan Dockery.

Memorial contributions can be made in Russ's memory to First Baptist Church, 246 N. Main Street, Madisonville, KY 42431 or to the Hopkins County Humane Society, 2210 Laffoon Trail, Madisonville KY 42431.
