Ruth Ann Closson, age 58, of Dayton, KY, passed away peacefully at her residence on September 1, 2024. Ruth was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone around her.
Ruth was known for her love of television and her fondness for spending quiet evenings at home with her cherished fur baby, Callie. She found joy in watching scary movies and loved the thrill of playing bingo. Her passion for these simple pleasures brought her much happiness and was a testament to her ability to find joy in life's small moments.
Ruth is survived by her devoted son, John Perry, Jr.; her significant other of 26 years, Martin Roll; her father, Earl Closson Sr.; her siblings, Tonya Paynter and Scott Miller; her best friend, Regenia; and her cherished grandson, Dawson. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will remember her fondly.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Miller, and her siblings, Brenda Closson and Earl Closson, Jr. Ruth's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the memories she created and the love she shared.
A private memorial service will be held to honor Ruth's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local animal shelter in Ruth's memory, celebrating her love for animals.
Ruth Ann Closson will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
