Ruth Alice Davis-Rogers, age 98, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2025 at the home of her daughter in West Chester, Ohio, where she had resided for the past four years. She was born on January 16, 1927, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Charlie and Nora (Stacy) Mears. Ruth grew up in Tennessee and returned to Ohio in 1947 after marrying her first husband, the late George Davis, on October 24, 1945. They were married until his passing on April 18, 1988. After retiring, she continued to serve her community as the housing manager for AMHA for 12 years. She was a faithful and longtime member of First Baptist Church. Her favorite pastimes included golfing, entertaining friends and family, and dining out. Ruth especially loved spending winters in Sebring, Florida, where she attended Heartland Church and was active in the Sebring Hills Association. She also enjoyed volunteering with the Highland Little Theater and the Glad Hatters Readers Group, where she performed skits for the community. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Davis-Riegler (Ed Riegler); her grandsons, Ron Lomeli (Ayisha), Brian Davis (Dana), Duane Doroba (Cindy), and Drew Troth (Brooklynn); great-grandsons Bodhi, Levi and Bryan; sisters, Wanda Davis and Brenda (Danny) Jaco, daughter- in-law, Pat Davis; and her "adopted" family from Korea, Hyo and Yu, and their children Tommy and Jennifer. Sharon - I am sorry for your loss. Your mother certainly enjoyed a long life well lived. Jim Hoadley

I've known Ruth since I was born. She was like a second mother to me. Ruth and my mother, Maxine Deluca, were best friends, and my fondest memories are she and my mother giggling all the time. Everything made them laugh. I remember the story of them going to a health food store and asking for supplements to help your memory. When the store owner asked for the name, they both said they didn't remember, and then of course, went into giggle fits. I will miss her terribly. Rest in peace, Ruth; I love you.
