Ruth Ann Lantrip
November 23, 1953 - June 23, 2025
Ruth was born in Lansing, MI to Robert and Amy (Neihart) Wiborn. The youngest of four children, she would attend Everett High School. She met her future husband Don Lantrip in late 1975 and they officially married September 25th 1981. In their early years, they owned and operated Lantrip Auto Glass. This business would later be re-opened and operated by their son Rudy and continues to be successful today. They would go on to own and operate Main Street Estate Shop in Potterville, MI until their retirement. The knowledge and love of antiquing passing on through the family who often helped at the store. Ruth loved to garden. Every night after cleaning up dinner she would tend to her plants. She also enjoyed rock hunting and would often visit The Great Lakes in search of the perfect treasures. In the summer, she loved going up north to her son Rudy's property. Family was very important to Ruth. Her door was always open with the promise of good food and laughs in exchange for time spent together. Something everyone gladly did.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Don Lantrip; parents, Robert and Amy Wiborn; brothers, Frank and Richard Wiborn; and great-grandson, Sterling Cardenas.
She is survived by her children; Rudy (Brenda) Barnhill Jr, Bill Barnhill, Ronda (Ray) Martinez; grand children, Jesi (Matt) Nowell, Tyler Culp, Ehricka Martinez, Taylor Crum, Ryan (Tori) Culp, Shyanne (Daniel) Hamilton, Kimber Barnhill, Kaitlyne (Xavier) Barnhill; and great grandchildren, Harper, Rori, Deacon, Little Daniel, Luke, Chevy, Maeble, Braylon and Violet.
Visitation will be held at Palmer Bush & Jensen in Holt, MI on Thursday June 26, 2025 from 11am-1pm. Funeral service will begin at 1pm followed immediately by a graveside service at Dimondale Cemetery.
Pall Bearers: Daniel Hamilton, Xavier Word, Matt LaFave, Jake LaFave, Cole Johnson and Joshua Ankney.
