Sophronia Rebecca (Jobson) Tabor passed away on 9 Aug 2025. She was the only child of Samuel Noah and Jessie Rosella (Carr) Jobson, born on 8 Sept 1927 in Miller County, Mo. After her mother's death when she was 8, she was raised by her maternal grandparents and grew up with her many cousins. She was married to Wilburn Buford Tabor and they resided in El Dorado Springs, Mo. She lived all her life in central and southwest Missouri, until moving to Runnells, Ia in 2011. In 2019, she became a resident of the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, Ia.

She is survived by her daughter, Ilene Rena (Floyd) Hays, three honorary children, Wilburn Buford (Dana) Tabor, Jr., Lucille Lea Richardson, and Laddie Dee (Nancy) Tabor, grandchildren Corbin Latham (Mica) Hays and Clara Louise Hays, great grandson Latham Kieran Hays, and many more honorary grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by Buford in 2005, and honorary son Freddie Mack (Darlene) Tabor in 2024.

Rebecca was a long-time member of the El Dorado Springs Church of Christ, and later the Runnells Christian Church. She never tired of reading and studying the Bible. Rebecca loved craftwork of all kinds and was a master at crocheting, knitting, and sewing. She made many beautiful items for her family and friends over the years and could even brag that she had sold snowflakes in Alaska. She appreciated all kinds of animals and insects. She enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, reading, puzzles, and games. She was a devoted and excellent caretaker of Buford in his last years. She was a private person who had a mischievous sense of humor and a unique way of doing things.
