Sadie Darlene Pecina, age 67, of Spring Hope, NC, passed away October 2024 from a battle with Ovarian Cancer.
Sadie Darlene Pecina was born on June 30th, 1957, in Nash General Hospital Rocky Mount, NC. She earned an Associates of Medical Assistance from Miller-Motte Community College in May of 1999 and worked at O'Malley Foot & Ankle for 10 years. She was faithfully married to her husband, Luciano Pecina, Jr, at the Little Chapel of Love in Las Vegas NC for 27 years. Darlene was a devoted Nana to her four Grandsons (Aleck, Jadon, Dalen & Kethan) and loving mother to Amy & Jason. During her retirement she enjoyed reading Nicolas Sparks books and while recovering from (2022-2024) she enjoyed coloring adult religious hymns books shared by her sister Clairene.
Sadie Darlene Pecina is survived by her husband, Luciano Pecina, Jr, of Chicago, Il, now of Concord, NC, two adult children: Amy Yolanda Boykin & Jason Dewey Boykin, Daughter in law: Trisha Boykin and future Son-in law: James May. Four grandsons': Aleck Perez McCoy, Jadon Dewey Boykin, Dalen Anthony Boykin, Kethan Lou Boykin. Her brother Larry Gene Mullins and sister Clairene Boykin. She was preceded in death by her mother Sadie Roberson Mullins, and brother Kelvin Lawrence Mullins.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Massey Funeral Home, 913 N. Arendell Ave., Zebulon, NC 27597. Funeral services will begin at 4 p.m. at Massey Funeral Home. Committal services will be privately held at Family Cemetery in Spring Hope, NC
