Sallie Morrow cherished her family, supported many charities, and every minute spent at Lost Lake Woods. In her retirement years she enjoyed golfing, knitting, cooking, volunteer activities, but most importantly the friendships she developed with her many friends at LLW. Sallie died peacefully on October 10, 2023, with her son, Thomas nearby.
Sallie Morrow was born on October 31, 1931, in Highland Park to Charles and Herma (Reynolds) Buck. She graduated from Baldwin High School. Following high school Sallie attended Bowling Green State University and received her undergraduate degree. She married Hugh Morrow on August 18, 1956, and they were happily married for 64 years.
Sallie worked in education until she worked raising two children. She later worked for the Suburban Library System in Illinois.
Sallie was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Julie, and her husband, Hugh (Bud). She is survived by her son Thomas, granddaughter Amy Braunecker, sister Ann Jacobs and brother John.
A funeral is being planned for later in the year.
