Sally "Sal" Cubetus

Sally "Sal" (Wahl) Cubetus, age 80, of Erie passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at UPMC Hamot from complications of Crohn's disease. She was born September 8, 1942 in Erie the daughter of the late Luther and Dolores (Walker) Wahl.

Sally was a proud 1961 graduate of Academy High School and up until this day she was still meeting every month for lunch with her friends from Academy. She was retired from the Accounts Payable department at Parker White Metal/ PHB.

Sally was a member of the Community United Church where she enjoyed volunteering for their various projects and events. She also wintered in Spring Hill, FL where she was active with the St. Vincent De Paul Society Thrift shop. Family was extremely important to her and she loved following the activities of her only grandchild, Shelby.

Besides her parents, Sally was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Frances Wahl and a brother-in-law, Wendell Painley.

She is survived by her daughter, Lorie Adams and her husband Paul of McKean; her beloved granddaughter, Shelby Adams and her two grand dogs, Oakley and Luna. Sally is also survived by a sister, Shirley Painley of Elyria, OH and a brother, James Wahl of Trussville, AL; and is the beloved aunt of Becky Bechtel, Brian Painley, and Stephanie Clayton.

Sally's family would like to thank the staff at UPMC Hamot ER, Surgery, and especially the ICU nurses and doctors that helped make our mother as comfortable as possible.

Friends are invited to call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge, 3801 W.26th St. on Monday July 24, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and are invited to attend Funeral Services there Tuesday at 11:00 am. Burial will be private.
