Sally Ann Starks

Obituary
Sally Ann Starks (Coffman) 90, was born March 18, 1933 and called to the Lord on
March 14, 2023.
Sally is the daughter of Maxine Jane Burroughs and Otto Coffman.
Sally is predeceased by her grandparents Scott and Anna Burroughs, parents, aunts
Katie and Helen, and sisters Candy and Melba "Poochie" whom Sally visited in Venice
Beach California with trips to Hawaii and the east coast of Ocracoke to visit her dear
cousin Linda.
Sally is survived by her children Bobby, Kathy, and Garth, her four grandchildren, five
great grandchildren, her sister Cindy and brother John, cousin Linda and Charlie.
Sally shared her zest for life as a carhop waitress on roller skates to Melch's Salad
Company then as a nurse aide in the hospital and nursing home, to having her own
home care nursing business.
Sally shared her immense energy as an active member and supporter of multiple
church and community groups, such as Firestone Primetimers, Bible Study, and Haven
of Rest.
Sally was a faithful, creative, and generous Mother, Grandmother, and friend. When you
needed it most, Sally would offer sweet surprise and a twinkle in her eye that promised
something special was about to unfold.
Sally loved bingo, summer concerts, and sharing stories with friends and neighbors.
Sally dedicated much of her time to her parishioner family at Saint John's Church where
she volunteered years of loving service. Sally shared her kind heart, strong will, and
immense faith at Saint Paul Church. She was passionate about her catholic faith. She
would walk to Holy Ghost Church in the rain and snow. Holy Ghost Church became like
family later in life.
Sally's funeral Mass will be held on the date of her birth, Saturday March 18 2023 at
10am at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 1866 Brown Street. Concelebration by Father
Vsevolod Shevchuk of Holy Ghost and Father Dismas Byarugaba of Saint John's
Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you donate to the church in Sallys's memory. Memorial
flowers are provided by Amedeos Flowers on Grant Street, Akron Ohio.
Sally will always be an inspiration to us to find the magic in everyday. She leaves behind
family and friends who loved her dearly. Sally will be greatly missed.
