Sally Ann Thomas

Sally Ann Thomas, 67, of Charlotte Hall, MD, passed away on February 7, 2022 in the comfort of her home. She was born on December 24, 1954 to Royal Highness Calley and Helen Irene Calley in Manaus, Brazil. She was one (1) of six (6) children.
After graduation in 1973 from Caro High School, she worked various jobs before finding her career as joint owner and operator of Charles County Floors Inc. alongside her husband. She worked there for 26 years before retiring in 2017.
In 1982, she met John L. Thomas, Jr. "Jack," and they wed the following year in October 1983, going on to have two (2) children, Eleanor "Elly" and John.
Sally was a dedicated mother to her children, always attentive, she supported her children providing a loving environment and cherished childhood memories. Family came first and was above all else to Sally, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.
Sally loved to spend time with Evie, her granddaughter. Not more than a couple weeks went by without her and Evie seeing or talking to each other. She was a caring owner to her adoring pets, always surrounded by her dogs or cat right up until her passing. She was an incredible cook, constantly exploring and refining new recipes, much to the pleasure of her family and friends. We will miss her greatly.
Sally is survived by her husband, John L. Thomas, Jr. "Jack" of Charlotte Hall, MD; her daughter Eleanor "Elly" Mae Bean of Charlotte Hall, MD; her son John Henry Thomas of Charlotte Hall, MD; her brothers Royal Calley, Jr. of Brooklyn, MI and Doyle Calley of Lyons, MI; her sister Diane Manzo of Fowlerville, MI; and her grandchild Evaleen "Evie" Calley Bean. She is preceded in death by both of her parents Royal Highness Calley and Helen Irene Calley, her brother James Calley, and her sister Mary Calley.
The family will be accepting friends for Sally's Life Celebration on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. at 30195 Three Notch Rd, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622 at 1:00 p.m. to 2 p.m. with her Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Reverend Joe Orlando. Interment will be private.
