Sallyann Harris Sessums of Montgomery, born in Houston, August 21, 1933. Previously of Spring Branch and Cut-n Shoot, TX, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023. A Celebration of Sallyann's life will be held on July 8, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Grover E. Sessums, son Kelly G. Sessums, and wife Kim and four grandchildren, Ryan Sessums and wife Miranda, Shelby Sessums, Christian Sessums and wife Emily, and Cameron Sessums, six great grandchildren Layla, Colton, Luke, Delilah, Wyatt, and Case. She is also survived by her nieces Sharon Harris Wagner and Jennifer, nephews Darryl Harris and Eric Harris, and her beloved sister-in-law, Peggy Harris McMahan. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, and a nephew.
She attended Spring Branch High School, where she was involved in the original "Bruin Brigade". She was a graduate of Sam Houston State University which she entered at the age of 43; she taught in public schools until she retired in 1994.
