Samuel Edward Bartholomew Jr.

Samuel Edward Bartholomew, Jr., 76, of Lake Milton, OH passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at his home. He was born October 5, 1949, in Warren, OH, a son of the late Samuel E. Sr. and Esther (Hillier) Bartholomew. He married the late Marilyn (Opalenik) Bartholomew on June 4, 1988.
He was a graduate of Champion High School, and was employed as a finisher at Thomas Steel for 33 years. He also volunteered for over 30 years at the Craig Beach Fire Department.
Samuel was a member of A & A Hunting and Shooting Club, Lake Milton Fish and Game, Vienna Gun Club, Mosquito Bowmen, Eagles Club as well as the JC Club. Sam enjoyed the outdoors, playing pool, trap shooting, watching Harding football and the Cleveland Indians and Browns. He also played on the North Park Baptist softball team.
He is survived by his step-son, George Meleski of Lake Milton, OH, adopted child, Jamie (Catherine) Rodgers of Lordstown, OH; grandchildren, Ryan Meleski, Ayla Smith, and Marissa Youngwolf and cousins, Diana (Erich) Luketic of Leavittsburg, and Robert "Chief" Bartholomew of Johnston, OH.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn J. Bartholomew, as well as his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, December 26, 2025, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
Friends may call from 10:00 AM until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Jackson Township Cemetery.
