Samuel Coletta

Samuel Coletta, age 83, of Harborcreek, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025. He was born in Erie on October 12, 1942, son of the late Vincenzo and Caterina Coletta.

Sam was a 1960 graduate of North East High School. He had a lifelong career as a grape farmer. Sam enjoyed playing checkers and doing puzzles with his grandsons, watching his grandsons' football, basketball and baseball games, watching the Cleveland Browns and Guardians, and was a super-fan of Harbor Creek and North East basketball and football teams. He loved big, family gatherings with food and laughter, taking daily walks and going for rides in the car.

Sam is survived by his wife of 51 years, Diane Zamaria Coletta; three children, Karen DiNinno (Joseph), Samuel Coletta and James Coletta (Haley); one brother, Vincent Coletta; five grandsons, Frank, Dominic and Joseph DiNinno and Maximo and Giovanni Coletta; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Phillip Coletta; and two sisters, Grace Freeman and Mary Ann McIntire.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral & Cremation Services Harborcreek, 5151 Buffalo Road (at Hannon Rd. in Harborcreek Twp.) on Friday, December 19th, from 4 to 8 pm and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Saturday, December 20th at 11 am, conducted by Rev.
