Spud liked to go fast. It started with bicycles, then motorcycles, cars, trucks and semis. He drove semi trucks all of his adult life, from end dumps, hauling groceries for Burger King, to hauling fuel over treacherous mountain passes. He had nerves of steel. Spud was hauling concrete powder in 2003 when he was injured and he never recovered. If you knew Spud, he was larger than life and a good friend to have.
Spud is survived by his wife, Aileen; daughter, Sammie; and brother, Kent. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Sharon; and brothers, Patrick and Marty. The family will receive friends for an informal reception from 2-4 p.m, December 10, 2022 at My Brothers Place: 625 Main St. Canon City, CO. Spud will be greatly missed by all.
