Samuel "Sam" passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. He was a loving husband, a caring father, and a beloved friend. He is survived by his wife, Kendal Tawney; his daughters, Alayna Hadley and Savannah Tawney; and sons, Kayden and Kannon Tawney. He is also survived by his father, Laken Tawney; his siblings, Stephani (Rob) Nordhaus, Penny (Joe) Best, Becky (Dave) Dover-Marsh, Taylor (Tyler) Boess, and John Ringlestetter; and his uncle, Cliff Tawney.
Sam is preceded in death by his infant son, Zayden.
He was most known for the way he graciously served everyone he encountered, especially those in need. And as an automotive mechanic, Sam used his skill and knowledge to bless so many people. He was an active member of his church, Grace Assembly of God in Whiteland, where he enjoyed leading the Parking Team and participated in various other ministries. Sam had an authentic love for people that stemmed from his intense love for God, which was exemplified by the way he put the needs of others before his own and always strived to do the next right thing! Sam will be deeply missed by his family and those who encountered his charismatic personality. Anyone who had the chance to know him got to experience his kind, genuine, & loving spirit.
Services will be held on Tuesday, May 28, at Grace Assembly of God in Whiteland, with a public visitation from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm and a funeral service immediately following.

I met Sam thru his beautiful wife Kendal at a Group we attended every Friday. We sadly shared a loss of a child (son)
We then came to find out his Uncle was my neighbor for many years, He also worked on vehicles thru a company my daughter works with and then shared a Friendship with his boss at Rays.
He said it was "God that brought us all together". He was right.
He was a sweet man with a good heart and will be missed on Shared friday nights and Sunday mornings at church
