Sandra Drumm, 84 of Lenox, passed away May 22,2025 at Mt. Carmel Care Center where she had resided since October of 2024.
She was born in Pittsfield on September 14, 1940 to Frank F. Russo and Alice L. Winnard Russo. Sandra was a 1958 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She was predeceased by her sister Caroline Cullett and her brother Joseph Russo. She married Earl M. Drumm Sr. on July 4,1992. He predeceased her in 2001.
Sandy was a teacher in the Head Start program of Pittsfield. She also was the longtime manager of the Lee Lipton Mobil Mart and retired in 2001. After she retired, she worked in the Lee Public schools cafeteria. Sandy enjoyed spending time with her friends and traveling to Ireland and Italy with them. She also really enjoyed their yearly trip to Maine.
She is survived by her children, Mitzie S. Smalley of Pittsfield, Tracey A. Smalley of Lenox, with whom she lived, and Robert F. Smalley and his fiancée Marla of South Glens Falls, NY. Her stepdaughter, Christine Lavigne and husband John of Bradenton, FL and a stepson, Billy Drumm of Hinsdale. she also leaves her grandchildren, Lucas Crane, Kayla Drumm, Michael Drumm, Jonathan Lavigne, Christopher Lavigne, Selena Lavigne, William Drumm, Travis Drumm, Brian Armstrong, Amy Armstrong, and Tia Boggins, Justin Nichols and her great grandson Elijah Drumm. She also leaves her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her stepson Earl Drumm Jr, Stepson Dean Drumm and Grandson Kevin Drumm
FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be held, Monday, June 2, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Lee.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201
