Sandra Franks

Sandra Kay Franks, 78 passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. She was born August 30, 1947, the daughter of Walter Fisher, Jr., and Phyllis Fisher. A woman of deep faith and community spirit, Sandy was a lifetime member of Pleasant Ridge Church, where she shared her gift of music as the church song leader. She was also a dedicated equestrian and agricultural enthusiast, maintaining active membership in the Old Capitol Saddle Club and the Indiana Farm Bureau. Additionally, she served as a past member of the Kentuckiana Ranch Horse Association and American Quarter Horse Association.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Shelia Mathes.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Glenn Franks, children: Robert Franks (Tamara) and Aaron Franks (Kimberly), four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, four siblings: David Fisher (Lori), Joyce Fedor (Billie), Annette Albin (Bub), and Cheryl Fisher, as well as many nieces, nephews and a host of extended family.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home (318 East Chestnut Street, Corydon, Indiana 47112).

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the funeral home and again on Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until the service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial gifts be made to Heidelburg Church near Corydon.
