Sandra Lee Hamill

Sandra Lee Hamill, also known as Elizabeth Hamilton, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 4, 2025, at the age of 80. She had been a beloved resident at Peachtree Senior Towers in Atlanta, GA for over 20 years.
Born in Weldon, NC, on November 9, 1945, Sandra was the daughter of Sam C. and Emma A. Hamill. She was predeceased by her brothers, Sam C. Hamill Jr. and Walter R. Hamill. She is survived by her siblings: David D. Hamill, Martha Hamill Lineberger and her husband Eric, Randy Hamill and his fiancée Donna Shearin Cook, and Amanda Hamill and her husband Bernhard Lampert. Sandra also leaves behind 10 nieces and nephews.
Sandra graduated from Enfield High School as well as Meredith College where she was crowned May Queen in 1969. She was a devout Catholic with a passion for writing, inspiring to write a book and many personal journals. She also loved to travel, particularly to Europe, and cherished the moments spent with her friends. Sandra fondly referred to her mother as "Mumsie" and held a deep love for faith and exploration.
A private graveside service will be held at Eden United Methodist Church Cemetery.
