Sandra J. Luttrell, age 80, of Sabina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
Born on February 17, 1945, she was the daughter of Bernard Lewis and Imogene Ruth (Olaker) Vineyard.
Sandy is survived by her devoted husband, Paul R. Luttrell. The two wed on February 9, 1964, and spent nearly 62 wonderful years together.
Sandy was a 1962 Simon Kenton High School graduate. From 8th grade until graduation, she was a Majorette. Sandy was also a varsity cheerleader through all four of her high school years and was Homecoming Queen. She retired as a beloved dispatcher from The Melvin Stone Company, after nearly 30 years. In her retirement, Sandy rejoined the bowling league she enjoyed so much and loved to shop.
Devotion to her family was highest on Sandy's list; she loved being with her children and their families and spending time with everyone together. Being a loyal caregiver, Sandy was devoted to taking care of her parents in their later years; she would make multiple daily visits and instilled her caring nature in her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, left to cherish Sandy's memories are their children: Neil (Missy) Luttrell and Lori (Derrick) Peterman; along with grandchildren: Amanda (Heather) Burns, Lara (Kerry) Wilkinson, Tiffany (Justin) Kessler, Lacey Peterman, Logan Peterman and Dylan Peterman; and great-grandchildren: Kenleigh, Maverick, Carter and Leighton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Alzheimer's Association or Heartland Hospice.
Private services, with burial at Sabina Cemetery, will be held at the convenience of the family. A celebration of Sandy's life will be held at the Luttrell Family Farm at a later date. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
