Sandra "Sandy" Lynn Jones
West Branch, Michigan
Sandra "Sandy" Lynn Jones, a beacon of kindness and friendliness, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025, at the Villa at West Branch, following a brief illness. Born on February 23, 1960, to the late James Francis Greenan Sr and Eva Elizabeth (Kern) Greenan Sandy's life was a testament to her thoughtful nature and her ability to make everyone around her feel cherished.
Sandy was the beloved wife of Bill Lee Jones, with whom she shared nearly three decades of unwavering love and companionship since their marriage on August 27, 1997, in Tawas City. Her legacy lives on through her children, Sandra Niemi, Eva Norris, and Roy (Crystal) Niemi, as well as her adored grandchildren Alyssa, Rodney, Alysha, and Amajta. She was a sister of immense love and support to James F. (Cindy) Greenan Jr, Patrick Greenan (Patty) and late sister Susan Bright and Brother Frank Greenan and Pat (Patti) Greenan.
For years, Sandy served with a smile as a waitress at the Green Turtle Bar in Tawas, where she not only shared her warmth with customers but also formed lasting friendships with her colleagues. Her involvement in the community extended beyond her professional life, as she was an active participant in local events and gatherings, always eager to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.
Sandy's interests were a reflection of her vibrant spirit. She had an unparalleled love for garage sales, always on the lookout for hidden treasures and the next great find. Her joy was palpable when she was swimming at the pool, where she found relaxation and happiness in the water's embrace. Bingo nights were a highlight of her week, and she reveled in the thrill of the game, often accompanied by the laughter and camaraderie of friends and family. Sandy also found delight in playing the Wii, challenging herself and others in friendly competition.
Above all, Sandy was a person who cherished the simple pleasures of life. She found as much joy in socializing with friends and family as she did in her quiet moments of reflection. Her presence was a source of comfort and happiness to her husband Billy and all who knew her, and her absence will be deeply felt by the many lives she touched.
