Sandra Lopez-Gomez, 46, of Watertown, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes at her home on Saturday, September 3, 2022.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown with Fr. Jorge Antonio Miramontes officiating. Relatives and friends may gather at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in Watertown. Sandra Lopez was born on January 8, 1976 in Emiliano Zapata, Morelos, Mexico to Daniel Lopez-Rodriguez and Beatriz Gomez-Leana. On July 27, 2012 she married Ronald "Ronny" Castellon.
Sandra spent her time raising and caring for her family over the years. She showed her love through her actions and created a ripple effect that crossed over into the hearts of her family. She was a devout Catholic and faithful servant to the Lord. She enjoyed helping others in every way possible, most especially at church retreats. Sandra loved her family and every moment spent with her family was cherished and well spent doing the things she loved. She admired the great outdoors and hiking. Some of her favorite hiking and vacation locations were Devil's Lake State Park, Zion National Park in Utah, and Yosemite National Park in California. She was a phenomenal mother and significant role model to the children, in which she spent most of her time educating and supporting throughout their own educational careers. She was dearly loved and revered by her husband, Ronald, and to the friends and family members that knew her. She was a smart, intelligent, and strong woman that was very purposeful in her gratification and service to the growing Catholic and Hispanic/Latinx communities of Watertown.
Sandra is survived by her husband Ronald Castellon of Watertown; four children: Daniela Castellon, Gisselle Castellon, Emanuel Castellon, and Andrea Castellon; mother, Beatrice Lopez; siblings: Silvia Lopez-Gomez, Vincent Lopez-Gomez, Javier Lopez-Gomez, Georgina Lopez-Gomez, Paulina Lopez-Gomez, Cesar Lopez-Gomez, Marilu Lopez-Gomez; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Daniela Lopez-Rodriguez and by her brothers Daniel Lopez-Gomez and Alvaro Lopez-Gomez.
