Sandra Kay Mason Marshall, 80, of Hallwood, wife of the late Maxwell Elmo Marshall, Sr., passed away on March 23, 2025 in Onancock, VA.
Born on January 5, 1945 in Salisbury, MD she was the daughter of the late Garland Mason and Vera Grace Byrd Mason. Sandra worked as a seamstress for the R&G Shirt Factory in Parksley, before retiring to take care of her family. Sandra loved her cats, especially Lucky and was a great cook, often preparing family meals. She was an honest, direct person who did what she wanted, on her terms, right up until the end.
Sandra is survived by her son, Maxwell Elmo Marshall, Jr. of Hallwood; grandchildren, Renee Rantz Judge and husband, Daniel, Mason Marshall of Chincoteague and Alexis Marshall of Chincoteague; great-granddaughter, Indiana Grace Judge; and a nephew, Pete Bonawell (Missy Lewis) of Saxis.
Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Grace Vera West.
Funeral services will be private.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Hallwood Baptist Church, P.O. Box 36, Hallwood, VA 23359.
