Sandra M. Strayer

Sandra M. Strayer, age 83, of Dallastown died at 3:09 AM on October 9th at Pappus House.
Sandy was the wife of Ray G. Strayer for almost 59 years. Born June 12, 1939 in Dallastown, the daughter of Arthur and Louise Winemiller. Sandy was a graduate of Dallastown High School and Millersville University. She retired as a school teacher from Dallastown Middle School where she taught math for 34 years.
Sandy was a member of Christ Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir. She was a voracious reader, enjoyed needle point and traveling including spending time at the beach with her family. She was a fan of NASCAR and was always learning, doing activities to challenge her mind.
In addition to her husband, Sandy is survived by her son Dave and his wife Meredith, her daughter Kelly and her 3 grandchildren including Ethan and his wife Kate, Amelia and Luke. Sandy was a loving, caring and generous wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
The family will receive family and friends at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St, Dallastown, PA 17313 with a memorial service in celebration of Sandy's life immediately after at 11:00 AM. Sandy will be laid to rest following the service at St. John's Blymire UCC Cemetery, 1009 Blymire Rd, Dallastown, PA 17313.
