Sandra "Sandi" Lee Swofford, 85, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born November 22, 1939 in Prescott, Arizona to the late Gail Foster Neil and Catherine Moyer Neil. Sandi had previously worked at Owensboro Transit System and Boulware Mission. She loved to travel and exploring the world, having visited 59 countries. Sandi had amazing stories to tell about her travels.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Owen Swofford; and a brother, Gail Eugene Neil.
She is survived by a daughter, Stacey Jennifer Rose (Kyle Pearson); three grandchildren, Delana Mae Rose, Makayla Ladawn Rose, and Steven Brady Rose; and great-grandchildren, Elijah, Isaiah, Amyah, Alayah, Uriah, Ezrah, Audriana, Sawyer, and one on the way, Leilani.
Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. CST on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
