Sandra Kay Zemanick (née Qualls), age 78, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, passed away on 2 October 2025. Sandra was born to parents, Melvin Qualls and Jewell Qualls (née Cunningham), on 10 February 1947 in Madisonville, KY.

Sandra was a hard worker throughout her life, sometimes working 3 jobs to support her family. She was the Office Manager for Four Seasons Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration of Fort Walton Beach for over 20 years. As a dedicated daughter, she cared for her mother, who was in assisted living for 10 years, visiting every day – during her lunch break and after work. She was a breast cancer survivor and advocated for breast awareness. A faithful customer of the Mary Esther Public Library, she was an avid reader who devoured nearly a book a day! She crocheted blankets that she donated to various charities, including providing one for every patient at Westwood Nursing and Rehabilitation facility.

Sandra is predeceased by both of her parents, husband, Frank Zemanick, brother, Charles Melvin Qualls, and daughter, Judy Dawn Hutchison, 53. She is survived by her daughter JoAnn Hutchison, her sister-in-law Linda Qualls, and her nephews Christopher and Sean Qualls.

She will be interred at Barrancas National Cemetery with her late husband, Frank, in a private ceremony.

No flowers, please. Those who wish to memorialize Sandra can donate to the American Cancer Society.

Expressions of sympathy and support may be left online.
