Santha "Sandy" Sauceman, age 82, of Carrollton, AL passed away April 10, 2023 at her daughter's residence in Reform. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Carrollton City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jack Stanley Sauceman; her parents; daughter, Tisa Sauceman; infant sister, Carolyn Shields and grandparents, Lexie Britt and Ira McDaniel Britt.
Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Sauceman Finney of Reform; brother, Bobby Shields (Margaret) of Carrollton; two grandchildren, Meredith Finney Kirk (Tyson) and William Stanley Finney (Brooke) and three great-grandchildren, Anna Beth Kirk, Callie Faith Kirk and Andi Larraine Moore. Special thanks to her caregiver, Gwen Flowers.
Sandy was born November 14, 1940 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama to the late Robert R. "Bob" Shields and Lorraine Britt Shields. She was a member of Carrollton Baptist Church and a retired employee at Westinghouse with over 20 years of service. Sandy also worked for Northland Cable for 10 years and for West Alabama Bank & Trust for 10 years.
Pallbearers will be Britt Shields, Mike Acker, Timmy McDaniel, Dennis McDaniel, Mark Elmore and Mike Elmore.
Honorary Pallbearers are employees of Hospice of West Alabama, Dr. Stephen Browne and Dr. William Hill, Jr.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.
