Sara Murguia Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ferrara Colonial Mortuary - Orange on Mar. 31, 2026.

Sara Murguia, who was born on June 30, 1949, in Indaparapeo, Michoacán, Mexico, passed away on March 29, 2026, in Anaheim, California, surrounded by the loving legacy of the family she devoted her life to caring for.

She grew up in Indaparapeo, Michoacán, where she learned the values of hard work, faith, and family that would guide her throughout her life. In 1988, she met Isabel Murguia Flores, and the two fell in love and were married. Together they made their home in California, where they built a life rooted in love, perseverance, and commitment. She and her husband later became naturalized citizens of the United States, a milestone that reflected the journey they shared and the life they created together.

Sara devoted her entire life to her home and family as a homemaker, and she took great pride in caring for her husband, children, and grandchildren. Her love was shown not only in the daily work she did, but also in the warmth, patience, and steady presence she offered to those around her. She was a woman whose life was centered on family, and her devotion left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Isabel Murguia Flores, her daughter, Sara Andrade, and her son, Eriberto Leon. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Erik, Kevin, and Anthony Leon, Karina, Angelica, and Julie Pineda, and Samantha Moreno, as well as four great-grandchildren, Damian Leon, Rosalie Santacruz, Jhene, and Ximena Franco. Her family was one of her greatest joys, and each generation was touched by her love, guidance, and strength.

She was preceded in death by her son, Julio Pineda, and one grandson, Andres Santacruz. Though her heart carried both joy and sorrow over the years, she remained steadfast in her faith and continued to cherish the family bonds that mattered most to her.

She loved going to the swap meets, especially when she could enjoy the outing with her family. These simple pleasures brought her happiness and gave her more opportunities to spend time with the people she loved most. She also enjoyed quiet moments watching her novela soap operas and talking on the phone with her friends, finding comfort and joy in the routines and relationships that filled her days. Her life was marked by a balance of lively family gatherings and peaceful personal moments, each one meaningful in its own way.

Above all, Sara was a woman of strong faith who prayed daily for her family and friends. Her prayers were an expression of her deep love and concern for others, and her faith gave her strength throughout her life. She leaves behind a beautiful example of devotion, resilience, and kindness.
